Curiouser and Curiouser :

A reflection on Remembering Wonderland

This weird and wonderful high energy performance attracted the curiouser and curiouser; a mixed bunch of attendees for a mid-week soiree in San Diego, California. No-one knew what to expect but ventured down the rabbit hole as “Alice Remembered” with frenetic energy.

Samantha Hafey, from Melbourne Australia, delighted us with out-there ramblings, building up as her 7 piece Jazz band did their thing at the local Sweetwater Women’s club hall.

Just when you thought Alice in wonderland couldn’t get stranger, rainbow skittles hit the air. Alice’s legs were kicking as she struggled with addiction, prejudice, hypocrisy, ageism and materialism brought to us by an eclectic cast of guest performers.

Everyone was left wanting more. This was not just a show, it was a theatrical production, an experience!

Feel the energy, see the art, taste the “ crepas”, inhale the aroma of freshly brewed tea…and smell the roses before they get painted red.
